Based in Ventura, BRITE hosts, manages and maintains the VCBH studio, built with access and adaptability in mind. Using the black-box model, the in-suite studio is easily configurable to meet your production needs. 

BRITE Media is staffed with industry professionals who have deep roots in our community as well as the non-profit sector. Our services include all areas of production including content creation, animation, and editing.

THE STUDIO

The studio is equipped with everything you need to create, capture, and deliver compelling messaging to wide audiences. The studio was built with current and professional industry-standard equipment and is maintained by staff daily.

Our in-house production services can include everything from storyboard and script creation, securing of talent, day-of hair and makeup, and everything in between. With over 50 years of combined industry experience, we are staffed to execute your vision in whatever way is best for you! 

ART DIRECTOR 

Still developing your eye for style and cohesion? Don’t worry! We provide art direction to ensure that both you and the space around you look outstanding and natural.

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY / DIGITAL IMAGING TECHNICIAN 

Working alongside the Director, the Director of Photography is responsible for camera operation and visual components of your media. Our Director of Photography will spearhead the technical aspects of the shoot as well, applying deep knowledge of all things technical to hit the mark. 

 AUDIO EQUIPMENT / ENGINEER 

Bad audio can stick out like a sore thumb in media. BRITE Media Co uses top-of-the-line and versatile audio equipment and software to capture your sound and keep it crisp and clean. 

TELEPROMPTER

No job is too big or too small for teleprompter assistance! Our teleprompter works in conjunction with our cameras for a low-profile effect. Our staff loads and operates the teleprompter for you, freeing you up to concentrate on what you do best. 

PLAYBACK 

Wanna roll back the tape? No problem! We can play back your footage for you to ensure you’ve captured your content just the way you want it.

BRITE Media Co can help you bring ideas to life through the expressive and timeless medium of animation! Our lead animator will bring animated projects from storyboard to finished animation while keeping you in the driver’s seat. 

VOICE RECORDING FOR RADIO OR PODCAST

The bar for standard video audio is high. BRITE Media Co can go beyond and be used for longer and more technical radio or podcast recordings. 

Team BRITE reaches wide across Ventura County, from engaging communities in civil and creative advocacy, to designing and implementing interactive content promoting diversity, inclusion, and mental wellness across all demographics, starting with those most underserved.

BRITE was founded in 2005 by our Executive Director, Katherine Kasmir, who noticed how techniques and concepts used in improv comedy and theatre can also be used to drive social change through joyful and safe exploration of vulnerability, failure, and laughter.

BRITE has a media department, which I’ve had the pleasure of building alongside a core team of media-minded, camera-carrying activists.

The Media Team has worked with all different types of people – kindergartners, college students, teachers, state senators, survivors of tremendous loss, civil rights icons– to tell stories which are otherwise often pushed away and lost within the margins of society. 

We cannot change what we cannot see. With each video, each podcast, and each social media post, BRITE hopes to collect and amplify the voices, people facing adversity in order to provide others a window into struggles which may be different than our own.
